Music

The music ministry of WPC plays a vital role in the worship and congregational life of our church family. We provide musical leadership for corporate worship and developing the musical talents of God's people. We strive for excellence in our music in order to reflect the majesty and glory of God, and we are continually challenged to present our best musical offering unto the Lord for His name's sake.

1 - Sanctuary Choir

The primary music ensemble of WPC. It is open to adults and young people who want to use their musical gifts to lead in worship and present seasonal concerts. This choir sings and leads in worship every Lord’s Day September through June. Rehearsals are weekly August through May on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. at the Westminster Christian Academy Brockway campus.

2 - Orchestra

This ensemble accompanies congregational singing every worship service..

3 - Instrumental Ensembles

Other ensembles are formed occasionally to present special service music and accompany choirs or soloists as needed. All band and orchestral instruments are welcome according to the gifts and talents of our people. 

Fellowship Opportunities

Crown Club

An opportunity for “seasoned citizens” to study the Bible together, pray for one another (especially the children of the congregation) and have fun. Meets at the Nursery Modular - Brockway Campus on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month for Bible Study and lunch. Special activities and trips as scheduled.

Home Groups

Home Groups provide members with an informal time of study, conversation, and prayer in members’ homes from August through May. Location and times are published in the church bulletin. Most groups meet August through May.


Men’s Forums

Groups meet during the year, August through May, and provide men with a time of study, conversation, and prayer.

Women in the Church (WIC)

The purpose of WIC is that every woman know Christ personally and be committed to extending his Kingdom in her life, home, church, community and throughout the world. Our goal is that this will become a reality through Ladies’ Bible Studies, ministry opportunities, discussion groups, social events, retreats, and informal gatherings.
Fall Bible study times and topics will be announced during the summer.

Youth and Family

Westminster’s Youth and Family Ministry supports and encourages the covenant family structure. The purpose of the Junior and Senior High Youth Groups is to equip young people to live and think according to a biblical world and life view. We are committed to more than just talking about faith, but actively living and sharing that faith with others through word and deed. Key discipleship components include study, leadership training, serving and activities. Youth Groups are an important part of the church and are connected to the overall family ministry of WPC.

Children's Ministries

Children’s Choir

Children from the 1st through 6th grades are welcome in this choir, which rehearses weekly August through May.  Rehearsal are on Sundays at 5:00 pm in the Music Room at the Westminster Christian Academy Brockway campus. 

Children’s Church

Children’s Church meets during the sermon for children ages 4-6, and is offered to help parents prepare their children for public worship.

Children’s Sunday School

Children’s Sunday School is available for young people ages 3 – high school, and offers systematic Bible teaching and catechetical instruction.

Nursery

We have a fully staffed nursery comprised of trained WPC volunteers as well as paid staff. Nursery services are provided for infants and toddlers through age three. A Mothers’ Room for nursing mothers is also available. Child care is provided for all Sunday and Wednesday evening services and activities.

Evening Worship

Sunday evening worship services are at 6:00 P.M. Childcare is provided for children through age 3. 

Sunday Morning Worship

Our Sunday morning worship service will be at 9:30 a.m. at WCA - Brockway Campus, 237 Johns Road.

Nursery and childcare is provided for infants and toddlers through age three.  Children’s church meets during the sermon for children ages 4-6, and is offered to help parents prepare their children for public worship.

Education

Birmingham Theological Seminary

Westminster Presbyterian Church serves as a satellite campus for the Birmingham Theological Seminary.

Reformed University Fellowship

This reformed ministry is designed to reach out to college students and nurture them in their walk with God.  Weekly Bible studies will be held on campus and activities will be planned periodically.  For more information, visit the RUF website: UAH Reformed University Fellowship website

Westminster Christian Academy

Westminster Christian Academy (WCA) is a K-12 school operated by Westminster Presbyterian Church. The school has two campuses in the Huntsville/Madison area and ministers to students representing over 150 churches.

The mission of Westminster Christian Academy is to offer Christ-centered education marked by biblical integrity and academic distinction.
