Mid-Week Activities and Studies
The Monday Men’s Group will meet at 11am in the Nursery Modular Classroom. This spring our group will continue to study Joshua and Judges. Join us as we examine God’s work in redemptive history. The class is a discussion oriented walk through these two historical books of the Bible. Eric Zellner is the group leader.
The Tuesday Men’s Group will meet at 7am at the Blue Plate Cafe 3210 Governors Drive, Huntsville. This spring the group will read and discuss John Piper’s Contending for All: Defending Truth and Treasuring Christ in the Lives of Athanasius, John Owen, and J. Gresham Machen. The book tells the inspiring stories of three great heroes of the Christian faith. To order a copy of the book, please contact the church office. Charlie Wingard is the group leader.
Spring Ladies Bible Studies will study 1 and 2 Thessalonians by Kathleen Nielson; study materials will be available for $10 (scholarships available). The group will meet in the nursery modular. No prep work required. Any questions, contact Regina Pullen: 256.426.7680 or
- Tuesday morning group meets weekly at 9:00-11:00 a.m. Classes begin on January 10th. Note the new format: Prayer time is 9:00-9:20, and Bible study begins promptly at 9:30. Childcare will be provided.
- Thursday evening group meets every other week at 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Classes begin January 12th. - Fellowship Night
Fellowship Night Begins Wednesday, January 11th
Fellowship Dinner will be served in the cafeteria at 5:20 p.m. The cost is $4.00 per person (with a $15.00 cap per family).
Home Groups:
The Kirkwood Home Group meets at the home of John and Katy Kirkwood (110 Ellacott Drive, Huntsville), only five minutes away from the church’s Wednesday night nursery. Charlie Wingard leads a Bible study of Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon. Come and sharpen your ability to articulate the Christian faith. The study begins following a meal at 6:00 p.m.The Zumbach Home Group - Discussion of the Sunday sermon, led by Nat Causey. This group meets at the Causeys or the Zumbachs for a time of dinner fellowship, followed by group discussion and prayer. The group meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 6:15 p.m.
The Zellner Home Group is meeting in the school on Wednesday evening at 6:15pm. This semester we will study The Truth Project, a DVD based study designed to equip believers with a comprehensive biblical worldview. Discussions will focus on God’s design for living out the Christian worldview in daily life. Together we will learn to join our actions with our deeply held core beliefs. Eric Zellner is the group leader and will meet in Room 203.
Children - Youth Activities will begin at 6:15 p.m.
Sanctuary Choir rehearsals will be in the music modular, 7:30-8:30pm. New members are welcome.
- SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
Sunday morning worship service is at 9:30 A.M.
Nursery and child care services are provided for infants and toddlers through age three. A Mothers’ Room for nursing mothers is also available. Children’s church meets during the sermon for children ages 4-6, and is offered to help parents prepare their children for public worship.
